Youth Leadership

PYLI-logoAs a member of the very unique Kosove Society at USF, I can assure you that further funding of Harri & Ruth’s dream would be guaranteed.  The manner in which I could do so is so far-reaching I cannot explain with words.  We just inducted our 100th member and have people all over the country in every area of study/work.  The potential here for unbelievably widespread, positive change is immense.  I actually believe that one day soon someone at USF will be recruiting students for the Kosove Society much like they recruit athletes for USF’s sports’ teams.  This is a very influential group that hasn’t yet had the opportunity to see what we could really do organization-wide – i.e all 100 of us – due in no small part to the fact that there hasn’t been enough money.  If funding from you, the public became available, this would be one of my first choices of this tier of investment areas.

While home in Michigan in 2010/early 2011, I volunteered with an organization of which my Dad has been a part for many years.  It is called The Generation of Promise.  The overall mission is “to build a community of young leaders (students in their junior year of high school) who celebrate diversity and are dedicated to the elimination of discrimination in metropolitan Detroit.”  An incredible woman serves as the director of this organization and ever since learning of it about 6 years ago, I believe it can and should be duplicated in every major city around the country.
