“Remembering the Connection…the 80s & 90s” (The Innocence of Adolescence)

This 12-video playlist tells my story via the previous ‘best time of my life’.  Up until my Healing Year in Michigan, 3 years ago, as sad as this will be to admit, I never thought I would be as happy as I was in 7th & 8th grades at Central Middle School in Plymouth, Michigan.  Truly.

I had more than a few incredible adults in my life who were positively influencing, guiding, and inspiring me; I was in the band; I was playing school sports for the first time; I was president of student council; I ‘went’ with a few boys that I REALLY, REALLY liked; and I had what felt like the greatest group of friends in the world – particularly, our 8th grade class.  I was completely uninhibited and just beginning to discover my light & how much I loved shining it in my life.  ANY memory from these two years fills my heart with some of the greatest love I’ve known.  Likely, it isn’t surprising that the music from this time would be a part of my Awakening Story.
