My year of work at Microsoft was simply amazing. Honestly, it was one of the best years of my life simply because I was happier than ever and living consciously in my present for the very first time. More importantly, though…I knew I was not there accidentally. I was there to learn. I wasn’t exactly sure what I was to learn but I knew the lessons were surrounding me every day. I took in every single aspect of the experience. And due to the nature of my job – I was a business administrator – I had the chance to interact with everyone. It was incredible! And…it generated tons of new insights and ideas as I observed.
One idea in particular came to me on October 9, 2011. I was present for a 2-day leadership workshop for my manager and his team. At home that night, I took some notes on how I believed I could incorporate all these new “truths” of the world I had learned about during my healing year into the mainstream business world. This particular idea was specific to the organization in which I was working at Microsoft, but the general themes were definitely possible to develop into a larger business consulting service.
I haven’t revisited this idea in well over a year, but I plan on pitching it within 6 months. If Microsoft should pass, there are hundreds of other businesses that I think would be very interested. In general, this is an idea that simply takes a brand new, perspective. It is an approach that I doubt is presently being used anywhere in the for-profit world of corporate business, but I think there would be observable, measurable changes within 6-12 months. And I think I could accomplish this under the umbrella of employee morale.
