I had intended to begin an inspirational speaking tour at the end of January. Upon my return from Seattle, however, it became clear that this was going to be delayed. I now anticipate being ‘on the road’ with my first tour no later than April. I am aiming for crowds of around 500 people and will open the tour in Plant City, FL in honor of my Marshall Middle School teaching experience. Other cities that I hope to speak in prior to my return to Seattle in July are Tampa, Miami, Tallahassee, and Gainsville. The theme of the show will vary depending on the crowd. At this time, I would guess that in addition to general inspiration, I would discuss the topics of EVOLT and what I refer to as the Digital Renaissance (the powerful times in which we are living).
I have a tremendous amount of speaking experience in environments ranging from when I was a student, to when I was a corporate instructor, to my 6th grade teaching years, in athletics as a player & coach, and in the community with my race volunteer coordination work. While I have not yet delivered a presentation in front of a crowd as large as 500, I have played soccer & basketball in front of crowds that large. I have already begun to train myself by focusing in the same way and getting myself into the same type of “zone”. After this past weekend in Orlando, I am ready for the stage.
I will be providing a more detailed budget in the upcoming weeks, but investment money would go towards the booking of venues, lighting, sound, & visual effects, marketing & promotion, give-aways, and other specifics to be determined.
